Teaching
Music Counts’ lessons are designed to feed all learning styles. Lessons include a short video (Visual, Auditorial), verbal discussion/interaction with vocabulary memory words (Auditorial, Read-Write), and hands-on playing (Kinesthetic). Students are also encouraged to talk in rhythmic cadences during class. This makes every aspect of the class a learning - practicing experience.

Our Programs
Music makes my body move
The overall approach is to build knowledge and plant powerful seeds of music theory and performance. These things are scientifically proven to be beneficial in helping the brain develop in so many more ways. However, we make sure it is a fun and interactive environment. We learn songs, dance, gain knowledge of different instruments and their history, compose music, and learn to work in music groups (ensembles) to name a few.

Drummer's Club
Students will focus on a wide range of percussion instruments, concepts, and techniques all while working in a fun and collaborative group setting. From drum-sets to international percussion and ensemble playing, students will gain a new understanding and appreciation for the world of percussion.
Recorder Club
Though the recorder is a relatively easy instrument to learn, it is very beneficial at a young age. By learning to play the recorder, students become much better prepared to tackle the more challenging wind instruments in the concert band which becomes available in higher grades.
